August has been a very good month so far! A variety of techniques have been producing some excellent smallmouth fishing, including spy baits, tubes, ned rigs, and some topwater action.
Walleye fishing is holding it's own, with daytime fish coming on lead core or power corking. Evening fish have been the most consitant with a bobber and leech on rock structures.
Muskies are continuing there prowl of the deep weed edges but, I expect to see more fish appearing on the shallower reefs in the coming days and weeks.
